The team leader, in consultation with the team members should decide whether the patient needs to be:
- Emergently operated upon
- Transferred to a referral facility
- Admitted to the hospital ward or ICU
- Discharged home safely
After disposition decided, appropriate communication with EMS personnel, providers at the referral center, and family members should occur promptly.
If the clinical stability is ever in question, return immediately to the Primary Survey, with particular attention to Airway, Breathing, and Circulation.
