- Spinal Cord Injury With Out Radiolographic Abnormality
- Due to stretching of elastic ligaments & stretching of cord
- Accounts for up to 70% of spinal cord injuries in children
- Most common in children < 8 years of age
- Symptoms may be immediate or delayed for 4-5 days
- Changes can be seen on MRI but not on plain films
- Steroid therapy is commonly used
- Complete recovery is likely (unless cord is transected)
