- Immobilize the cervical spine in a collar or with towels or sandbags
- Center the child on a spinal board with neck in neutral position
- Secure at least 3 points to the board & thighs, pelvis and shoulders
- Ensure that the airway and breathing are not compromised after spinal immobilization
- Fill any gaps between the child and the edges of the spinal board
