Use of airway adjuncts

Potentially useful airway adjuncts include:

  • Nasopharyngeal airway (nasal trumpet)
  • Oropharyngeal airway (oral airway)

Proper sizing and skill in placing airway adjuncts is crucial to their successful use and is discussed in more detail in the following slides.
