- Remove all wet garments
- Minimize exposure during clinical examination
- Use blankets and head coverings during transport
- Monitor core temperature (rectal, esophageal, Foley)
- Warm ambient temperature (75o - 800o F)
- Warm all IV fluids and blood products
- Forced air heating (Bair Hugger®)
- Use radiant warmer for infants and small children
- Heat and humidify supplemental oxygen
