Spine Board Use

  1. Use boards with a scooped out area (a well) in which the occupant can be placed to prevent neck flexion. Alternatively, place the buttock-to-shoulder area of the child on a layer of towels
  2. All the gaps between the child's body and the sites where the straps are secured should be filled with towels or blankets to prevent sliding on board
